Name: Rain-Mate All Weather Sealant

A highly flexible, water repellent, general purpose sealant that has excellent adhesion to all surfaces, even when damp. This product can be over-painted with certain paints and it will not crack or slump or become brittle with age.

Features: Excellent adhesion. – Sag resistant. – Permanently flexible. – Overpaintable. – Weatherproof. – Water repellent. – UV resistant. – For exterior use.

Application: Suitable for use on brick, concrete, stone, all metals, painted or bare wood, glass, vinyl and most plastics. Being rubber based, it is also compatible with bitumen, asphalt and roofing felt for roof repairs in damp conditions. All RAIN-MATE colours will adhere to bitumen, asphalt and roofing felt but we only recommend black for this purpose as unsightly discolouration can occur with white and clear. Ideal for sealing doors, windows, roofs, cladding and vehicle bodies.

Instructions: Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease or any contaminants that may hinder adhesion. Primers are not usually required. Rust, etc, should be removed to give as sound a surface as possible.

Application: For application in damp conditions remove any standing water and residual dirt and dry the surface as well as possible with cloths or paper towels before applying sealant. Apply the sealant in a normal fashion ensuring there is sufficient sealant present to accommodate any future joint movement (25% of sealant width). Tool down immediately after application using a wetted spatula or Bond It Sealant Applicator Tool. Allow 24 hours before painting.

Cleaning: Tools can be cleaned immediately after use using Bond It UPVC Solvent Cleaner or White Spirit.

Limitations: Not for use on expanded polystyrene, polycarbonate, plastic roof lights or other solvent sensitive surfaces. Do not apply at over +60oC or on surfaces which exceed +80oC in use.
