Product details
Name: Lead Pro Hybrid Roofing and Flashing Sealant & Adhesive
A fast skinning, low modulus hybrid roofing sealant and adhesive that reduces weather ingression, tile lift and noise.
Features: Hybrid technology. – Solvent‐free and low odour. – Can be overpainted with waterbased paints. – Easy to tool and finish. – For sealing interior and exterior applications in all weather conditions. – Quick curing. – Non-shrinking and flexible. – UV, heat and ozone resistant. – Contains no isocyanates, solvents, silicone and phthalates. – Very low emissions, EC1+ certified. – Excellent adhesion to most surfaces (even moist surfaces). – UKCA Approved. – Conforms to EN 15651‐1 F EXT-INT 25LM CC.
Application: Provides long term weather resistant joints. For use on all types of roof, flashing, soffits and guttering. Can be used on lead, concrete, brickwork, aluminium, copper, uPVC, steel, timber, industrial roofing panels, slate, tiles, acrylic, glass, GRP and bitumen (provided the bitumen is primed first). Also suitable for internal use for sub-roof ducting and for sealing roof lights, mechanical fasteners and cladding, as well as with solar energy systems.
Instructions: Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from grease, oil or any other contaminants that may hinder adhesion. Surfaces may be moist but not overly saturated with water.
Application: Carefully cut the top of the cartridge taking care not to damage the threaded area. Screw on the nozzle supplied and cut at an angle approximately 45o. Apply using a standard sealant gun in a continuous bead along the aperture and leave to fully cure.
When sealing deep joints use foam backer rods to minimise wastage. Prime porous materials, such as concrete, limestone masonry, mineral plaster, fibre cement and similar substrates prior to sealing for optimum adhesion. Smooth the joint using a Bond It Sealant Applicator Tool and soapy water. Cleaning: Remove any excess material and clean tools with Bond It White Spirit or Multi-Wipes prior to curing taking place. Cured adhesive must be removed mechanically. Replace plastic cap after use.
Limitations: Cannot be applied to saturated surfaces. For use on bitumen-based substrates or natural stone, a suitable primer must be used. Pre-stressed PMMA and Polycarbonate (PC) could result in stress cracking of the plastics. For these substrates, we recommend conducting preliminary tests. Not recommended as a glazing sealant for bedding in glass. Sealant may discolour under extreme conditions and long exposure to UV light. Can be overpainted
with water-based paints, always test compatibility before use. May discolour under extreme conditions and long exposure to UV light.
