A premium quality, high modulus sealing, bonding and fixing material based on advanced STP hybrid polymer technology. A totally neutral curing “hybrid” sealant for use in areas requiring a tough elastic rubber joint, or in areas subject to high humidity, or as a adhesive with superior bonding strength. An all round sealant and adhesive for any Trade.

Features: High modulus, remains permanently flexible (can elongate up to 275%). – Contains a biocide to retard mould growth and bacteria build-up. – Overpaintable. – Non-shrinking, non-cracking and bubble free. – Free of isocyanates, solvents, silicone and phthalates. – Anti-pick properties. – Rapid curing. – Wet on wet application, even under water. – Neutral curing, virtually odourless so ideal for sensitive environments. – Resistant to salt water, UV and weather. – Non-corrosive on metals. – Absorbs acoustic and mechanical vibrations. – Food safe (ISEGA certified). – EC1 Plus certified for low emissions. – UKCA Approved. – Conforms to EN15651-1,3: F EXT-INT, S1.

Application: For sealing and bonding interior and exterior applications in all weather conditions. Seals and bonds most construction materials such as brick, concrete, stone, glass, plasterboard, PU, PVC, hard plastics, enamel, ceramic, aluminium, copper, lead, zinc, metals, alloys, stainless steel, HPL and cement fibre panels, wood and paint systems, carbon fibre materials, fibreglass and GRP. For sealing in humid areas such as bathrooms and kitchens to prevent mould build-up caused by bacteria. For filling and sealing of connecting joints, cracks, holes, etc. in the building sector. For bonding metal to metal (can absorb vibration) and will not etch or burn surfaces when subject to expansion and contraction of the metals. For underwater sealing in marine applications, as it is resistant to seawater, and can be used as a pool sealant in closed-face applications, such as floor and wall tiles. For roofing jobs such as fixing solar panels, fixing and sealing gutters and down pipes. For outdoor repair work on garden furniture, planters, ornaments, slates and cracked concrete. As a mirror adhesive as it will not attack mirror backings. As an anti-pick sealant to prevent vandalism or debonding, especially in correctional facilities.

Instructions: Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from grease, oil or any other contaminants that may hinder adhesion. Temperature range during application should be between +5 and + 40oC. A primer to most non-porous substrates is not required but always test adhesion prior to full application. We recommend that test areas be carried out on any substrate prior to application to ensure compatibility of materials.

Limitations: Not recommended for use with expansion joints or for installations where the joints are continually immersed in water. If allowed to cure in dark conditions or poor light the product may yellow. Not for use in aquariums. Note: not suitable for use on LSE plastics such as PE, PP and PTFE. This product may cause staining on marble and other stone surfaces. This can be avoided by using a sealer prior to application of GBX. Do not use for bedding in double glazed units, for this application we would recommend our LN7 silicone. Do not use on surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers.
