Name: Solvobond 620 uPVC Pipe Cement

A fast-setting solvent cement for joining uPVC pipes & fittings for low pressure and drainage systems.

Features: Easy brush application with sponge applicator – Fast setting – Safe for use with drinking water pipes – No primer required with ABS substrates – Industrial grade.

Application: Suitable for domestic plumbing, agriculture pipelines, boring applications and door manufacturing. Can be used for uPVC pipes transporting potable water as well as for materials like PVC, Acrylic & ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). Perfect for elbows, tees and couplings as well as drainage pipes and guttering.

Instructions: Preparation: All surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease or contaminants that may hinder adhesion. Very smooth surfaces should be abraded to provide an adequate key.
Application:
1. Cut the pipe, remove any rough edges and roughen the outer edge slightly.
2. Clean the pipe surface, removing any grease and dirt with a dry cloth.
3. Check the dry fit of the pipe into the socket – it should fill 3/4 of the depth.
4. Apply an even coat of Solvobond uPVC 6200 to both the pipe and the socket inner using the sponge applicator supplied with the container.
5. Insert the pipe into the socket immediately and rotate 45 to 90°. Hold the two pipes in place for 20 seconds.
6. Wipe off any excess solvent cement and leave to dry: the pipes can be gently handled after 15 minutes and can be fully used after 2 hours.

Limitations: Do not dip pipes into this adhesive, use supplied applicator. Do not allow contact with cleaning fluids before curing. Do not use at temperatures below 0°C.
