Name: LN11 Fire Screen Silicone Sealant

A fire resistant neutral cure silicone for the protection of engineered movement joints in buildings. It conforms to EN1366‐3 (penetration seals) and EN1366‐4 (linear joint seals). The product provides an integrity and insulation value in excess of 4 hours for certain joint geometries.

Features: Fire retardant. – 4 hour fire rating. – For interior and exterior use. – Minimal shrinkage. – Primerless adhesion. – UV and weather resistant. – Prevents the spread of flame, smoke, toxic gases and water. – Resistant to water, dilute acids and alkalis, soap and household detergents. – Halogen free to reduce the risks of toxic fumes and corrosion in the event of fire. – UKCA Approved.

Application: LN11 maintains the integrity of fire walls when breached by conduits, pipes, etc. Sealing panels, door frames, partitions, cap beading of protective fire glazing. Gives a flexible low modulus seal which withstand movements in excess of 25% throughout a wide range of temperatures.

Has high movement capabilities and excellent adhesion to all common building materials. Suitable for use on concrete, cement, all kinds of metals, timber, glass, ceramics and many plastics. All the benefits of a silicone rubber sealant, sealing, waterproofing, etc.

Instructions: Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil or any other contaminants that may hinder adhesion. In addition, prime porous surfaces and metals other than stainless steel or anodised aluminium for optimum adhesion.</p><p>Cleaning: Tools and any excess material can be cleaned with Bond It White Spirit or Multi-Wipes prior to curing taking place.

Limitations: Not suitable for use on bitumen or asphalt surfaces. Over painting is not recommended. Certain solvents may soften and swell the cured silicone on prolonged contact.
