A totally unique “hybrid” sealant for use in areas requiring a tough elastic rubber joint or as an adhesive with superior bonding strength.

Features: For interior and exterior applications in all weather conditions. – Remains permanently flexible. – Can be over-painted with water-based paints. – Non-staining and will not discolour surfaces (excellent for use on natural stone). – Contains no isocyanates, solvents, silicone and phthalates. – Excellent adhesion to most surfaces (even moist surfaces). – Wet on wet application. – No odour. – Anti-pick properties (colours only). – UKCA Approved. – Conforms to EN 15651‐1:2012.

Application: A universal, waterproof, construction adhesive and sealer for use with stone, concrete, mirrors (with an acetone resistant backing *please see TDS for limitations), natural stone, marble, gypsum board, poly-carbonates, polystyrene, PVC, many plastics, ceramics, copper, lead, zinc, aluminium, stainless steel, wood and glass. Note: This product is not recommended for use with expansion joints or for installations where the joints are continually immersed in water. If allowed to cure in dark conditions or low UV light the product may yellow. *Although in the majority of cases Gripbond Pro will not stain, not all natural stone products are of the same composition and in some cases the material can be very porous. Therefore we always recommend testing before application and use of a primer in these cases.

Instructions: Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from grease, oil or any other contaminants that may hinder adhesion.
Application: Carefully cut the top of the cartridge taking care not to damage the threaded area. Screw on the nozzle supplied and cut at an angle approximately 45o. Apply using a standard sealant gun.
As an adhesive: apply in beads or strips and bond the surfaces together carefully and allow to cure.
As a sealant: apply in a continuous bead along the aperture and leave to fully cure. Smooth the joint by tooling with a soapy solution using Bond It Sealant Applicator Tool. Cleaning: Remove any excess material and clean tools with Bond It White Spirit or Multi-Wipes prior to curing taking place. Cured adhesive must be removed mechanically. Replace plastic cap after use to prolong use.

Limitations: This product is not recommended for use with expansion joints or for installations where the joints are continually immersed inwater. Note: if allowed to cure in dark conditions or poor light the product may yellow. This product is not for use in aquariums. Note: not suitable for use on LSE plastics such as PE, PP and PTFE. This product may cause staining on marble and other stone surfaces. This can be avoided by using a sealer prior to application of GRIPBOND PRO. Do not use for bedding in double glazed units, for this application we would recommend our LN7 silicone. Do not use on surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers. Paintability: as quality and type of paint can vary, always test compatibility before use but we only recommend use of waterbased paints with this product. Any mirror made with 6mm glass or thicker needs mechanical fixing. Any mirror on a sloping wall or ceiling must have mechanical fixings. Any mirror greater than 1m2 must have mechanical fixings.
