Name: Super-Mate Universal Siliconised Acrylic Sealant

A high quality siliconised acrylic sealant, suitable for use in a variety of interior and exterior applications. Has improved adhesion characteristics when compared to conventional acrylic sealants. Provides a permanently flexible long lasting seal which adheres to virtually any materials. It also contains a powerful fungicide to prevent mould growth.

Application: For internal and external sealing around timber and metal window and door frames and internal sealing around PVCu window and door frames. Ideal for filling gaps and cracks in general decorating applications as well as sealing cracks and gaps in brickwork, stone, plaster and concrete. Can also be used as an adhesive for bonding polystyrene coving and tiles and for bonding cork tiles and wood block flooring; and as a sealant for PVCu profiles, cladding and trims.

Instructions: Preparation: All surfaces must be clean and free from dust and loose particles. Highly porous substrates such as new plaster should be primed before application with Bond It PVA BOND diluted 1:4 with water. This product can be applied to slightly damp, but not wet surfaces.
Application: Apply using a standard sealant gun. Cut the tip of the cartridge taking care not to damage the thread. Apply nozzle and cut cleanly at an angle of 45° with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed. Apply using a standard sealant gun. Smooth down
within 5-10 minutes of application using a wetted spatula, piece of wood or Bond It Sealant Applicator Tool. Care should be taken at this point not to saturate the surface as this will delay drying. Can be overpainted with waterbased paints as soon as skin forms, approximately 1 hour. Must be completely dry for oil based paints approximately 24-48 hours. Cleaning: Tools can be cleaned after use using soapy water before product cures. Remove excess product with a damp cloth.

Limitations: When using externally, in areas of high humidity, protect from water for a minimum of 12 hours. In damp and cold conditions, cure time will be significantly extended. Not for use with bitumen or asphalt. Do not attempt to abrade when cured. Do not use around baths or shower trays. Do not overpaint until a surface skin has formed. This product is flexible, certain poor quality paints (especially certain vinyl matts) have very little movement in the dry film. It is possible for the dry paint film to crack if movement is excessive. Should not be used in conditions of continuous water immersion, below ground level, in areas of high abrasion (eg floor joints). This product is not a silicone sealant and is not suitable for joints with very high movement.
